In Nicky’s Wedding, a gay man goes to his son’s wedding and tries to make peace with the family he hasn’t seen in 20 years. In The Lady in Penthouse B, a struggling actress gets a job as assistant to a “gossip columnist from hell.” And in Pinocchio of Chelsea, Carlo Collodi’s classic fable gets a modern makeover as The Blue Fairy becomes “The Blues Fairy” and helps Pinocchio leave “Lengthy Island” to discover “The Big City.” P.S.: A children’s show it’s not!
