Joker’s Wild is the 1994 International Quartet Champion

of the Barbershop Harmony Society.

This is the same competition won by The Buffalo Bills in 1950.

History

Joker’s Wild was officially formed in August 1990. The ensemble won the Eastern Division of the Johnny Appleseed District of the Barbershop Harmony Society after just two rehearsals. They became the Johnny Appleseed District quartet champion after just two more rehearsals. In 1991, the group placed 10th in the world in its first international competition. They followed that surprise achievement by earning a 5th place medal at the 1992 international quartet competition. The following year, they took home the silver medal. In 1994, Joker’s Wild was crowned the 56th International Quartet Champion of the Barbershop Harmony Society.
